The Secret of Re-Cutting
CLEARROCKS goes above and beyond to provide their clients with the perfect piece by re-cutting an existing diamond to a client’s exact specifications. This skill has been developed through a decade of gem dealing; knowledge acquired only by seeing thousands of stones and discovering each gem’s innate potential.
The goal of re-cutting is to increase clarity by removing inclusions where possible, improving brilliance and sometimes colour by enhancing the cut, whilst minimizing weight loss in the final product. Through this process and CLEARROCKS’ expertise, a diamond of lesser quality can be re-cut to create a superior final product, adding value to the stone.
